Refund Policy
Your payment is protected by Escrow.com. Here's how disputes and refunds work.
Last updated: January 1, 2025
You are protected from day one. Because all payments go through Escrow.com, your funds are never released to the developer until you approve the work. This makes traditional "refunds" largely unnecessary — but we've outlined every scenario below.
1. How Escrow Protects You
Unlike traditional payment methods, Escrow.com holds your funds in a neutral account. Here's the protection flow:
- You fund the escrow — your money is held securely, not paid to us yet.
- Development work begins once funds are confirmed.
- Upon delivery, you have a 3-day inspection period to review the work.
- Only after you click "Approve" are the funds released to FreddyDeveloper.
- If you are not satisfied, you can raise a dispute directly with Escrow.com — they act as a neutral arbitrator.
This means you are never at risk of paying for work that wasn't delivered. The escrow system provides built-in refund protection far stronger than a standard refund policy.
2. Cancellation Before Work Begins
If you wish to cancel after funding escrow but before development has started, you are entitled to a full refund of the escrowed amount, minus any Escrow.com transaction fees (which are non-recoverable as they are charged by Escrow.com, not by FreddyDeveloper).
To cancel before work begins, contact us as soon as possible at freddydeveloper.com/contact and we will initiate the return of funds through Escrow.com promptly.
3. Cancellation During Development
If you wish to cancel a project that is already in progress, a partial refund may be issued based on the percentage of work completed at the time of cancellation.
The split is determined as follows:
- Both parties attempt to agree on a fair split based on work completed.
- If no agreement is reached, the Escrow.com dispute resolution process is initiated.
- Escrow.com will review the evidence from both parties and make a binding decision.
All work completed up to the point of cancellation (code, assets, documentation) will be delivered to you regardless of the refund outcome.
4. Disputes After Delivery
If the delivered work does not match the agreed-upon specifications, do not approve the escrow — instead, use the inspection period to raise a dispute.
During the inspection period you can:
- Request specific revisions to bring the work in line with requirements.
- Open a dispute through Escrow.com if revisions are refused or inadequate.
FreddyDeveloper is committed to resolving all legitimate issues. We will always attempt to fix genuine defects before any dispute escalation.
Dispute eligible
- Work does not match agreed specs
- Critical features are missing
- Deliverables were never received
- Fundamental functionality is broken
Not eligible
- Change of mind after approval
- New requirements added post-delivery
- Subjective style preferences
- Issues caused by client's own changes
5. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds or disputes are not available in the following cases:
- You have already approved and released the escrow funds.
- The issues reported are outside the originally agreed project scope.
- The project was cancelled due to your failure to provide necessary materials, assets, or timely feedback.
- The work was completed as specified but you changed your mind about the direction or requirements.
6. How to Open a Dispute
If you need to open a formal dispute, follow these steps:
- Contact FreddyDeveloper first — most issues are resolved quickly and informally. Reach us at freddydeveloper.com/contact.
- If unresolved within 48 hours, log into your Escrow.com account and navigate to your transaction.
- Click "Open a Dispute" and describe the issue in detail with supporting evidence.
- Escrow.com will contact both parties and mediate a resolution.
- If mediation fails, Escrow.com will make a binding arbitration decision.
